  • new member leaders are stepping up to actively drive change,

It's been a year of major changes, disruption, and progress for the Melrose community. Come join us and our featured panel re; traffic safety on Foothill...

We're featuring accomplishments this year, options for growth in 2020, and now have a 3-person panel of representatives from the City of Oakland, coming in person to address our Demands for Action outlined in our Victim Witness letter writing campaign from Oct. 4 for 4 deaths in 6 months on Foothill Blvd.

Michael Ford, Smart Parking & Mobility Manager at the City of Oakland Department of Transportation, our featured speaker for tonight has offered to step out of this session to allow us all to focus on the issue of traffic-related deaths in Melrose. He's happy to come back and join us as a speaker early in 2020. Thanks Michael!

We now have Wladimir Wlassowsky, Assistant Director DOT, Joe Wang, Supervising Transportation Engineer for the City of Oakland, and Warren Logan, the Policy Director of Mobility and Interagency Relations for the Oakland Mayor's Office joining us to directly address our demands outlined in the Melrose Street Scape Letter Writing Campaign from Oct. 4.

We asked multiple city leaders to address our questions and concerns about the rise in traffic deaths on Foothill Blvd over the last 6 months. If you have questions tonight is the night to join Melrose Council to get some answers and help us take action!
