7:00-7:15 Hellos, Code of Conduct, and Goals for the Meeting

7:15-7:30 Discuss spike in Melrose violence, shootings, and homicides & how new partnerships between Melrose & OPD may help connect the dots and reduce casualties

  • OPD provided us with ShotSpotter data between July 9-Aug 6, 2020 and we plotted 99 gunshots that occurred over 28 days on a Google map for you. Check this out and share ideas on how this might help us collaborate with OPD to reduce gun violence. Stephanie to demo & share links w/ members


7:30-7:45 Special Guest Speaker: Oakland Police Department Interim Chief, Susan Manheimer

  • The Chief has asked to join our community meeting order to talk with Melrose members to discuss rising violence in Melrose and our relationship w/ OPD

  • If you haven't joined a monthly meeting in a while, this is one you don't want to miss!


7:45-8:00 Call for Melrose NCPC 27x Leadership Volunteers & Nominations along with new Steering Committee Members and discuss considerations for these roles
