Join our monthly Melrose Community Council Meetup in Oakland, CA.
We will update the agenda with specific presenters as the dates and topics are confirmed.
We'll continue our new meeting format where we'll hear updates from:
7:00-7:30pm
Municipal representatives including Oakland Police and City Council Member representatives will provide brief updates about OPD activities of the prior month and City Council Staff will share announcements coming from their District offices.
7:30-8:00pm
Melrose Action Committee leaders will share what they're working on and describe the traction they are gaining for their action campaigns and to ask for volunteers to join them in the follow on working sessions.
8:00-8:30pm
Break out sessions where people who want to join the work of the existing Action Committees to join Letter Writing Campaigns or in-person activities can do so for a focused 20-25 minutes and then share a 3-5 minute summary to wrap up the session and share next steps for the group.
Next month we may extend our monthly meeting to include an additional 30 minutes for Action Committee Teams who want a little extra time to work together on initiatives that evening.
