Neighborhood Plans for National Night Out

National Night Out (NNO) is coming up tomorrow, August 6th between 6-9pm. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with your neighbors and remember that we're safer and more resilient when we get to know one another.

Interested in attending a NNO event?

Our Melrose High Hopes (MHH) Neighborhood Council will have a table at the corner of Fairfax and Foothill from 6-8pm with drinks and snacks and music... But most importantly: we’ll be passing out our neighborhood maps with dot stickers showing neighbors where nearby NNO events are taking place! We're encouraging you to come by, pick up a map, and then take a walk to visit these other community gatherings marked by dots on your map!

Already organizing/attending a NNO event?

If you are organizing or know of NNO events we can add to our map, please email me at nayeli.maxson [at] melrosecommunity [dot] org with your event’s location and time so we can spread the word!

Can’t make NNO, but want to get involved?

The August MHH meeting is coming up Wednesday, August 28th from 7-8:30pm at Horace Mann Elementary School at 5222 Ygnacio Avenue. In previous years, we haven't had August meetings. This year, however, we're working on and building momentum for our neighborhood block party, which we're throwing later in the year than usual (Save the date: Saturday, September 21st on Fairfax in between Foothill and Bancroft).

For more information about upcoming events, check out our 'Events' page and rsvp on our meet-up!

Hope to see you tomorrow night.
